Achieving Optimum Water Quality

The quality of water is determined by numerous factors. In my own home, I use an Aquasana water filter for my drinking and cooking water. In addition, I use a separate Aquasana shower filter. I also use a Grander water unit to revitalize all the water entering my home. I also use a convenient Grander Penergizer (as small as an ordinary pen) when away from home.

It is important to understand that that Grander water units are not filters. While using a Grander water unit may well improve many physical, microbiological, and energetic characteristics of water, please note:

Grander water technology does not physically remove any impurities from water.

These impurities might include:

• lead, cadmium, and other heavy metals
• cryptosporidium (cysts)
• giardia (cysts)
• chlorine
• fluoride
• numerous volatile organic compounds or VOCs
• various organic contaminants
• pesticides and other toxic chemicals
• trihalomethanes or THMs

In order to greatly reduce the levels of these impurities or contaminants, a high quality water filter that is capable of removing all of the above contaminants must be used as your primary means of improving water quality.

Besides the problem of consuming these impurities via drinking or cooking water, there is also the significant issue of absorbing many of these impurities through the skin during a shower or bath. Also, many impurities are vaporized then inhaled during a shower or bath. Therefore, many people will employ a separate shower filter.
